Introducing a new series format for the show – Species Spotlight!

Occasionally we will dedicate an entire episode to getting SUPER geeky with a biologist around a specific species (or two). Got it? Awesome, let’s kick things off with the mighty Tarpon!

Did you know Tarpon have stem cells in their eyes that help them adapt their vision to different light conditions?  Do you know where they go to spawn? We didn’t either until we spoke with fish biologist Dr. Michael Larkin, one of the first graduates from the Tarpon and Bonefish Trust in Florida!

Join us as work our way down the Atlantic coastline and into the Gulf to learn about one of the best fish species to chase on the fly, Megalops Atlanticus.
