Have you heard that “big flies catch big fish”? Bradley “Bubba” Pultz believes in it so much that he built an entire online business around it – Delta Bass Bugs (DBB). They create handmade flies that look so good you might be more inclined to display them on a shelf rather than toss them into the mouths of hungry largemouth bass!
We sat down with Bubba and his dad Brian to talk about the business, inspiration for tying flies and their process.
We also discuss the Delta weed abatement activities that state and federal agencies are currently implementing in the region and the perceived impact that local anglers are observing within the ecosystem. We plan on sitting down with these agencies in a future episode so keep an eye out for that one!
Finally, the DBB team is hosting their first Fall Fly Fishing Classic – a fundraising event to support Cast Hope this weekend on 9/22/19 in Tracy, Ca. Learn more at:
