Hogan Brown is a school teacher, published author, fishing guide, and co-founder of Cast Hope, a nonprofit organization that provides the gift of outdoors to kids.

Nick, Chad and Hogan talk about stripers – their current role in the Sacramento River ecosystem as well as the best tactics for catching them. Listen as they debate whether or not stripers are contributing to declining salmon populations.

Hogan also talks about his non-profit organization Cast Hope, including the recent successful fundraiser at the Big Room in the Sierra Nevada Brewery. Hear about how Hogan and his co-founder started the organization from the ground up as a way to encourage kids to get outdoors. Cast Hope serves kids all over Northern California and Nevada, and continues to grow.
