No better, fish better. Here's your host. Hogan brown. Hey, everybody, and welcome back.
Welcome back to the Barb podcast. This is your host Hogan Brown, and it is
it has been a while.
We have been on indefinite hiatus for
gosh, probably a a a couple years now.
Gonna fire this thing back up and
get back to at least hopefully having an episode a month or every couple weeks. We
me and Chad,
been talking me and Chad been working on a bunch of stuff actually, but
this definitely one of the things that we've wanted to get going again, and I've wanted to get going again.
It's an enjoyable thing for me, and
I've heard a lot of people say they enjoyed the episodes when they were coming out. So
we kinda put it on the back burner for a while or or at least I did personally just because if if you know me,
I got two young boys, well they're not young anymore, but they were.
And,
Just manned bandwidth. Right? Like,
I had to kinda step away from a lot of things.
While my kids were
in those years.
But now I got a I got a high school senior this year in a high school sophomore.
So definitely still in the middle of it, but
just finding some more time as
let's be real. They both transport
themselves now. They both have driver's licenses,
and
one's getting ready to
move away for school and such. So
just something kinda, you know, when you when you get to that point in your life where you you you do set some things aside. You
there are...
Well, I guess there are always times, Hopefully, you get to pick them back up. So
I started a couple maybe a month ago. Recording episodes. I got three episodes in the can. We're gonna start dropping those episodes
over the next week or two,
kinda dole them out.
And
kinda backfill as we go.
Got an episode recorded a with a good friend of mine, Frank,
huge advocate and just
Gosh, just crusader for the lower Hub, one of the
guys that used to take me fishing on the lower Hub when I was
young. So,
Frank guided out there for a number of years and has become really involved
in the lower Hub and kind of the restoration and conservation side of that. And
some big issues on the U,
the fish passage,
the,
you know, I guess, building a basically a ditch around the gear opening up you know, the upper section to
possibly
migrations of many different kinds of fish,
then
you know, obviously, Sam and Sm and all the type of stuff on Hub.
Got another episode in the can with a a good friend of mine Carson Max s,
who is a
conventional wrangler and Fly fisherman who designs
glide and,
honestly catches more big stripe than
anyone I know,
and just basically an hour of me and him nerd out,
which
when I listened back to was actually pretty interesting. And then
a
a conversation Paul, Paul Young,
my good buddy, Paul Young who
basically does everything from Spear fishing to
fly fishing to gear fishing to swimming with fish in the river.
Gotten episode with him. Just checking in with him. He's been a guest before. So
gotta get some more got bunch emails and techs out to try to convince people to sit on phone with me and talk for an hour. But,
yeah. So we're gonna be back. And I'm excited about it.
Hopefully, bandwidth allows me to sustain it and keep it going and
if you do have ideas,
definitely reach out, h to fly fishing on Instagram, and then hogan brown
at hotmail dot com. Feel free to email.
If you got show ideas or someone you wanna hear or events you wanna promote or anything of that nature. We'll probably be checking in with all the all the crew up here in Nor cal and
involving in everyone. We got some great sponsors lined back up. We got Luna outdoors.
Five through outfitters,
fly fishing specialties,
and
a whole slew of people. Chad will definitely be involved. We may pull chad out of the computer cave and put a microphone in front of him eventually. So
standby for that as well.
Well,
that is the check in, and,
stay tuned is all I can say. Keep an eye on your feed, and we're gonna be back in it. Alright. Take care.
